We are excited for Summer 2020! Loire Valley Llama Farm Stay re-opens on 1st April 2020 for Glamping in the Lotus Belle Tents, Luxury in the Llama Lodge and stop overs in the Old Barn Rooms.

We offer a variety of comfortable and quirky accommodation. Whether you opt for the Llama Lodge, converted from the ancient wine press, enjoying its own kitchenette and private shower; or prefer to glamp in one of our thoughtfully positioned luxury belle tents with proper beds, Egyptian cotton bedding and solar power; or maybe a stay in one of the two comfortable rooms in the old barn. Whichever you chose, it is likely that you will find yourself spending relaxed evenings, warmed by the fire pit and overlooked by the starry skies of the Vallee du Loir.

Unforgettable. Sarah and Nigel have created a truly special place to take a holiday. Our 3 children loved feeding the donkeys and llamas and goats, and spending their days with chickens mooching about whilst they had a dip in the pool or … More helped Nigel with some small farm jobs. The area is lovely, we had a great day out climbing in the trees at Le Baud'Rillé (similar to Go Ape but much more reasonably priced), about 40 minutes away, but also at a lakeside activity centre about 20 minutes away where you can take a swim and hire canoes and paddle boards. We enjoyed walking in the forest nearby too. Nigel and Sarah went above and beyond to make it the relaxing break we all needed and as there were just a few other families there is a lovely community feel. Our tent was perfect, it was so nice to have real beds to sleep in. If you love nature you will love this place - as well as the farm animals we saw bats, picked our own fresh fruit and the night sky was just beautiful. A truly special place.

Wow. Honestly, this place is an absolute gem! A stunning location owned by the most wonderfully friendly and accommodating couple. We stayed in the llama lodge which was just perfect, with its quirky details and fantastically fun 'den' … More of a room for the children! Nigel and Sarah involved the children so much with animal activities....feeding llamas, donkeys, chickens....as well as tractor rides and treasure hunts! The animals were all so friendly and the children (9 and 4) quickly found their favourites and were excited every day to see where they all were! We popped out a few times to beautiful local towns/villages for some lunch or a picturesque wander along the river but there was also plenty to do at the farm. A chilled game of pétanque in the sunshine with a drink while the children play or swim was perfect. Everything was clean at the farm with well presented rooms and bathrooms, and nothing seemed too much trouble for our hosts. Our children are still talking about the llama farm and asking when we can next go back....it was the highlight of their summer out of all the places we have been! We will most definitely be back! Thank you Nigel and Sarah for everything!

We have just spent an incredible 5 nights in The Llama Lodge.

Stayed here for one night with my 5 and 8 year old, we will definately be back :). Sarah and Nigel are very welcoming and have plenty of good stories. Their animals are super friendly. They also really like exploring the property with the map we got upon check in, kind of like an animal treasure hunt: Lamas, donkeys, chickens, cats, dogs, frog eggs, fishes. Sarah taught my kids about the chicken song and party once an egg was lain, they got to hold the still warm egg and learn about the different colored eggs. Nice room, comfy beds and a great breakfast. Its a whole experience!
